Neurodiversity Celebration Week takes place between 18th – 24th of March 2024.
Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative designed to transform how neurodivergent people are perceived in society and in particular in schools, universities and the workplace. The aim of the week is to challenge stereotypes and misconceptions and celebrate the many talents and advantages of being neurodivergent.
The National Autistic Society current figures suggest that more than one in 100 people are on the autism spectrum and that there around 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK. Similarly ADHD UK state that between 3-4% of the UK adult population have ADHD.
Neurodiversity Celebration Week has a series of 24 different free online events that they are hosting throughout the week that are designed to increase and awareness and understanding of this often misunderstood group of people.
