There were big smiles all round last week as our dedicated Research and Campaigns team scooped the prestigious ‘Team of the Year’ award at the National Research and Campaigns Conference.
The award recognises the team’s outstanding work in analysing issues raised by local clients and turning these into meaningful campaigns that aim to improve systems and processes with government agencies, local councils, and beyond. From raising awareness to pushing for change, the team’s efforts are helping to shape a better future for the whole community.
Debbie and Alan, who proudly accepted the award, were thrilled by the recognition. Alan said, “Research and Campaigns really is a whole team effort, and we thank the Citizens Advice team and our clients for the information and insight they provide. This input allows us to campaign for positive changes in the community.”
Citizens Advice Hart’s CEO, Samantha Mabbott added, “We are proud that Research & Campaigns is a strong area for our charity, and we continue to reflect the dual aims of Citizens Advice through our R&C work. R&C is a team effort, but it is thanks to the dedication of our R&C Volunteers, Alan and Debbie, that we have been recognised for this award.”
At Citizens Advice Hart, helping individuals is just the beginning and this award proves we are making waves for the wider community too. Congratulations to the whole team on this well deserved win!
About the Research and Campaigns team:
At Citizens Advice Hart , as well as assisting individuals with issues , we look to campaign for change on areas that will positively impact all citizens. We have a team of volunteers who focus on analysing the issues raised by clients and follow up these issues to make recommendations on changes to processes and procedures with the owners of the process e.g. Government Agencies , Local/County Council etc. The team also run awareness campaigns on areas that may impact the whole community.
