Car insurance increasingly unaffordable for ‘shocking number of people’ as millions priced out.
For many people driving is essential for getting to work, buying groceries or travelling to healthcare appointments. Citizens Advice’s latest report ‘Driven Apart: The unequal impacts of high car insurance costs’ found that approximately 2.6 million people don’t drive because they’re unable to afford the accelerating cost of car insurance. We’ve seen a significant increase in the number of people priced out of the car insurance market in the last 12 months, with an additional 900,000 unable to pay for insurance.
