Citizens Advice Hart’s Community Training Lead, Marcia, recently delivered an engaging ‘Money Chats’ presentation at Hampshire Lakes in Yateley, supported by two of our amazing volunteers, Sarah and Simon.
The session, held as part of Hampshire Lakes’ popular ‘Babble and Speak’ programme, attracted 26 residents and covered a range of topics including, financial wellbeing, available support services, and ways to build confidence when managing financial challenges.
The presentation was extremely well received, with residents actively participating throughout and taking the opportunity to ask questions. Following the talk, the Citizens Advice Hart team were available to provide additional advice and support to attendees.
The Hampshire Lakes team praised the session, describing it as a “fab presentation and slide show” that residents thoroughly enjoyed, and have already asked if Marcia and the team could return for future talks.
Keith from Hampshire Lakes shared the following feedback after the event:
“First of all thank you so much for your talk last night – it was excellent. You hit the exact level that the residents needed, and I have only received positive feedback from the residents. I made several notes on things that I want to follow up on.. It was very interesting to hear about the support that people can ask for without the need to worry about their income and savings.”
Marcia said she was delighted with the positive response and pleased that the session helped raise awareness of the wide range of support available within the local community.
Citizens Advice Hart would like to thank Hampshire Lakes for their warm welcome and looks forward to working together again in the future.
