Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is a cost-of-living benefit designed to help people with long term health conditions and disabilities. In the past few months there were various changes to DWP policy and customer behaviour with a significant drop in the statistics.
We have published a report on PIP issues raised at Citizens Advice Hart dealt with during and prior to the Covid pandemic. We compare pre-pandemic and pandemic statistics detailing the number of clients seeking help with PIP, as well as the number and type of issues faced. Following this, we suggest changes to the PIP application process in order to offer better help to people with disabilities.
