Advice Service Supervisor

Permanent role – 22.5 hours a week (3 days 0900-1700)

£23,000 FTE (pro rata) + 5% pension contribution

Citizens Advice Hart is a charity and part of the national Citizens Advice network. We provide a free, independent impartial and confidential advice service to around 2,500 people each year through face to face appointments, webchat, email and telephone. We help our clients find a way forward with a range of problems including accessing welfare benefits, managing debt, resolving employment and relationship and housing issues.

As Advice Service Supervisor you will work closely with the Advice Service Manager to supervise a team of staff and volunteers. You will be based in either our Fleet or Yateley office and may have to travel between as required.

Your primary role will be to supervise the day to day advice team as they provide advice and information face to face, via email, webchat and on the telephone to ensure that the advice meets quality standards.

You will have excellent communication skills, have a flexible approach and enjoy assisting staff and volunteers with their own learning and development.

Ideally will have Citizens Advice experience, trained as Advice Session Supervisor or you will hold a Generalist Advice Certificate willing to complete Supervisor training. However this is not essential and we will consider applicants who have experience of working in the advice sector and in addition have experience of supervising volunteers.

It is important to us that you are customer focused, have a keen interest in improving services for the local community and in social policy work and in return there is real potential for personal development and professional satisfaction.
