3x Advice Caseworkers/ Advisers

£21,500 FTE

22.5-26.5 hours a week  + 5% pension contribution

Fixed Term Contract – 2 years

 Joining Forces for Families project will be led by Citizens Advice Hart and deliver advice services to serving personnel and their families based at RAF Odiham, The Army Garrison Aldershot and Her Majesty’s Naval Base Portsmouth.

We are looking for 3 caseworkers/generalist advisers to work closely with the armed forces welfare teams and other referral partners. You will be employed and based with one of our delivery partners, Citizens Advice Hart, Rushmoor Citizens Advice or Portsmouth Citizens Advice and will be expected to work remotely at outreach locations.

As a Joining for Forces Families adviser your main responsibilities will be:

  • To provide comprehensive and tailored  advice service to serving personnel  and their families within Citizens Advice quality standards and principles
  • To develop knowledge and resources specifically relevant to the armed forces communities

This is a fixed term contract position for 2 years starting September 2018. A secondment from within the Citizens Advice network may be considered.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at least 2 years adviser or caseworker experience or equivalent. Knowledge of housing, debt or family relationships would be desirable.

For a candidate with suitable skills, there is an opportunity to take responsibility for advice supervision with associated additional hours and salary.
